Glass Landscapes by Nan Burke

My land and seascapes incorporate semi abstract elements designed to provide the types of lasting impressions one may have after experiencing a place.  I use glass frit and powders, cut glass, and flame-worked pieces to compose my scenes onto a larger piece of base glass.  I even “build” miniature stone walls in some designs.  Then I fire the composition in a kiln at just the right temperature to stick together, yet retain their individual textures.
